Any person can be a victim of domestic violence regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age or social status.

Domestic violence is characterized when one individual establishes and maintains power and control over another.

Some forms of Domestic violence include: verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, social isolation, destruction of property, pet abuse and economic dependency.

Here are some resources and information that can help you if you or someone you know have been a victim of Domestic violence in Las Vegas.

If you are in immediate danger call: 911

If you need the person who committed or threatened domestic violence against you to:

  • Move out of the residence
  • Stop threatening, harassing or injuring you
  • Stay away from the children's school
  • Stay away from your job
  • Limit or avoid all communication with you or your children

Emergency Temporary Protective Orders (ETPOs) are available if the batterer is currently in police custody for domestic violence. Police Officers will provide this information at the scene of the arrest.
